The intraday analysis focuses primarily on the market sentiments during the day, and how to pick up the stocks to trade by studying the direction of the market, the net inflow/outflow of the foreign institutional investors to understand the current investors’ sentiment, and the volume of stock traded during the day, and pick up the stock which is closely correlated with the direction of the market. The intraday analysis is different from positional analysis with respect to the daily movements in the prices of stock. The positional analysis studies about the demand and supply of stock over a period of time, whereas the intraday analysis focusses on squaring off within a day.
