Green washing is generally used when an organization spends more time and money on advertising that they are “green” or environmentally-friendly that on actually putting into place practices that are environmentally-friendly.

Green washing involves falsely conveying to consumers that are given product, service company or institution factors environmental responsibility into its offerings or operations.
