Why do we need stock market?

The shares that bought during IPO(primary market) cannot return back to the company incase of money needed.So inorder to exchange/transfer their shares to anyone stock market(secondary market) is needed.

We need share market because the Company wants to raise the capital from public by issue of shares and the Investors who wants to invest can buy those shares. We also need share market for regulating the market and protecting the investor’s Interest.

Stock market is the place where the buyer and seller meets (with a common aim of trading in Shares). It is generally a Secondary Market where the shares are bought and sold.
