What is the difference between Investments and trading?

Investments means buying a stocks or other financial instruments for long period of time.

Trading means buying a stock or other financial instruments for short span of time.

Investments: Investors by a asset ( bunch of stock is stock market) and holding long term like as more than 10 years.

Trading : Investors by a share and holding for some months only .

Investments are made in a long term perspective(more than 1 year) whereas trading includes short term holding which generally is day to day.

Investment:- Allocating money in the expectation of some benefit in the future is called investment.

Trading    :- The business of buying and selling of products, commodities and shares is called trading.

Investment is to build a welath over an extended period of time through the buying and holding of  Portfolio stocks.

Trading Involves on the other hand frequent buying and selling of stocks. Trading profits are generated through short term period
