    NSE introduced the derivatives trading much ahead of BSE which in turn boosted the transaction volumes. Higher volumes in turn bring in more people to trade since the liquidity is higher

    Futures and Options were first introduced by NSE. since public started trading much in derivatives NSE became popular then BSE.

    NSE is introduced derivative market first in India and introduced sophisticated trading method. That’s the reason its popular.
    Also the no. of traders and companies are much higher.
