Answering to your question 1 :: doji in sideways analysis not considered?
Yes, DOJI appearing in sideways is not considered.

Answering to your question 2 :: is all candlestick patterns valid only for 1 week?
Mostly all candlestick patterns has a 1 week forecasting period .
