Stock market is a market where one trades stocks.. This is a platform where companies can raise money for their capital (primary) and earn money by trading stocks sharing profits of the company (secondary).

NSE, BSE, EURONEXT, BME, MSE, NASDAQ. Each and evry nation has its own stock markets where they list the companies for trading. Similarly India has BSE and NSE.

SEBI(securities exchange board of India) – Mainly registers and regulates law between the various intermediary bodies in stock exchange.

Shareholder is the owner of the company. Promoter promotes the company. Director manages the shares owned by the shareholder.

FACEVALUE – It is the initial cost of the share fixed by the company.

DIVIDEND – A dividend is a distribution of a portion of a company’s earnings, decided by the board of directors, paid to a class of its shareholders. Dividends can be issued as cash payments, as shares of stock, or other property.

BONUS – bonus share is extra share issued by the respective firm to its existing share holder without any additional cost.

SPLIT – It’s a corporate action, in which a company divides its shares into multiple shares. Split in shares increases the number of shares, but the total value of the firm remains the
