Primary market (IPO) is the market where previously unlisted companies sell new or existing securities and offer them to the public for the first time.

As with any other market, stock market is the place where buyers and sellers meet. Here, they trade shares. Stock market is also called as the secondary market.as the stocks traded are already public.

Equity/Share: Share is the smallest unit into which the company’s capital is divided, the representing the ownership of the company

Face Value: Face value is nothing but the denomination of the share. It is the value at which the company registers itself initially
Dividend: A dividend is a part of company’s profit that company distributes to it shareholders. Dividends distributed by the company are measured on basis of face value of the share

Promoter is the one who had built the company from the ground up!
Share holder is the one who owns shares in the company – thereby claiming an ownership in the company
Director is the one who runs the company – manages the day to day operations of the company
