These are specific chart patterns in which market behavior can be interpreted and studied.

Demand zone (buyers dominated) create support for the price to move up whereas Supply zone (seller dominated) create resistance for the same

There should be significant amount of data available (2 years at least ) to perform the analysis using Dow Theory, that’s why in this type of analysis usually line charts are used. Duration of forecasting could vary from 2 to 3 months.

It provides the basic understanding of market in terms of Demand and Supply, which is fundamental to any other form of analysis. Thus it manages to hold a good stand among other form of analysis; although it only determines the current trends but fails to determine the characteristic of market i.e., whether it will be dominated by buyers or sellers etc.

Bullish Trend: One can buy when this trend is identified and when the price in more than the previous top
Bearish Trend: One can sell when this trend is identified and when the price in lower than the previous bottom

By determining the relative Tops and Bottoms in the chart.
HB->HT is Bullish Trend(indicates Demand > Supply) and LT->LB is Bearish Trend(indicates Supply >Demand)

difference is of Obligation. In futures, both buyer and sellers have the rights and obligations to the contract, whereas in Options, buyer gets the Rights to Buy/Rights to Sell from the seller. Here, both buyer and seller won’t have any obligations toward the contract.
