A broker can trade for himself as a Trader. But a Trader cannot play the role of broker. Is my understanding is correct. ie., even though if a person registered as a broker with a particular exchange, he can be part of trading for his own buy/sell of stocks.

Trade – Buy and Sell on a particular stock happens based on agreed price and quantity.

You can buy an order today and sell it on another day. This is called Delivery Trade.

Intraday Trading : This is all about Trading on the same day. Placing a buy order and sell order on the same day is part of intraday. It can be buy followed by sell. or Sell followed by buy.

We use F1 for Buy order and F2 for sell order. When you buy an order for the first time then the position is called long position. When you sell an order for the first time then the position is called short position.
