    Stock exchanges ensures the traders counter party risk through brokers. Brokers gets the license to trade only after depositing specified amount to stock exchange. When the trade is executed and during settlement if any of the party (either buyer or seller) fails to fulfill his promise then the stock exchange will settle the affected person and will take money from the brokers deposit.

    Stocks bought in BSE or NSE can be traded within one another given that the company is listed on both exchanges. Only limitation is Intraday trading is Not possible.

    Long Position is where the initial order is Buy and sell at some later point of time.
    Short Position is where the initial order is Sell the stock and the stock is bought back the same day before the market closes to compensate the sell. Short positions are observed when the market is in negative trend.

    Long unwinding – Unwind is to close out a position that has offsetting investments or the correction of an error. Selling the stock after taking Long position.

    Short Covering – Buying back the stock before the market closes after taking short position on the same day.
