The Gap in the Common Area along with High Volume indicate the strength of Buyers and it is a sign of Bullish Breakout and we can also see the breakout following the Common Area. 

Thus this is a very strong Gap

This Area Gap occurred in the common are and thus with low volume which indicates it will be eventually filled in the future. And in Hindsight it also got filled in a few days. This does not indicate the strength

This Hanging Man has good Volume and the Bear trend after Hanging man also confirms our Analysis and we cant short after the low of Hanging Man.
