The latest body should cover the 50% of the previous day body including the previous day low.it is a trend reversal pattern , good for weekly traders.
Upper tail should be small in size.
volume may increase.
for bullish:
Buy- when the price goes above the last two days high.
Sell- when the price goes below the previous day low.

MORNING STAR: Doji after a significant price fall – for bullish.
EVENING STAR: Doji after a significant price rise – for bearish.
Buy – After morning star.
Sell – After evening star.

The upper tail should be small or invisible

Doji is a star shaped price pattern. DOJI actually means neutral. Trend reversal is facilitated by Doji .

*left shoulder volume highest indicating the selling pressure.

It is the distribution /accumulation pattern, it has L.shoulder, Head,R.shoulder. head should be high. it takes few months to form.
>minimum 3 months required.
>high volume during L.shoulder, stronger hands playing.
>low volume in R.shoulder, stronger hands moved out.
>short position created below neckline.

Dow theory gives only the market trend but it cant give early signal when to enter & exit the stock.

Double Top /Double bottom : When the price breaks the previous bottom neck line with high volume then create a short position. If the price breaks the previous high neck line with high volume then create a long position.
Head and shoulder : when the volume is high at left shoulder and low in right shoulder then sell at break out.

It takes minimum 45 days to form
Volume is higher while giving breakout
Breakout is expected at 70% of triangle area
If breakout takes at higher volume, long position is created

Dow theory indicates the direction of market by studying demand, supply & volume.
It is not a detailed study of the price characteristics and doesn’t say when to exit
But we can keep stop loss as previous top or bottom based on position

Buy: Demand > Supply with significance volume, bullish takes place and we have have to go for long position when it crossed previous Top.
Sell: Supply > Demand with significance volume, bearish takes place and we have to go for short position when it crossed previous Bottom.
