Identify the market trend whether it is positive or negative.

Observe the Global markets – Mainly asian markets.

    Observe FII activities

    Watch Indian Markets

Note Market breadth – Price wise

Note Market breadth – Turnover wise

Come to a conclusion won whether the market is positive or negative or mixed. Do not trade if the market is mixed.

Based on the above trend, identify top 2 sectors. Pick top 5 stocks by price wise and top 5 stocks by turnover wise.

Identify the top 1 or 2 companies in above result and take position accordingly.

In intraday analysis market trend, market sentiments for the current day is taken into account and analyzed accordingly. In positional trade we may hold the position for more than one day so we do different analysis for that.

Positional trades are for short or long term periods, where as intraday trades are get closed on the same day. And market sentiments play a big role in intraday trades, so positional analysis wont suit for intraday trade.

It is wise to close intraday position on the same day, so that we take least risk and the settlement can be made on the same day.

No, it is not mandate to close the intraday trade on the same day. If we are sure of good margin and so if we wish to hold the long position created, then we can very well do that.

Yes, global markets do impact the intraday price because of foreign investment institutions. They are stronger hands in our stock market.
