Engulfing Pattern : When there is a down trend and suddenly a Green candle appears engulfing the body to the previous day High.
Conditions to Qualify: is good trade volumes.
When to Buy & Sell: when the engulfing candle is green in colour we should Buy if the engulfing candle is red in colour we should sell.

Piercing pattern is a down trend for a few days and suddenly a green candle appears this candle has a much lower opening than the previous day with a lower bottom and is able to cross 50% of the lower body this qualifies for a piercing pattern. when the candle crosses a 2 day high a Buy signal is given stop loss on the lowest price on the piercing day.

when the Opening Price & closing price are the same a candle stick is formed with long highs and lows this is called a DOJI. After a few bearish days if DOJI is formed then long buy signal is given, if DOJI is formed after positive trends for many days then we should take short position.

Appearance of DOJI after a significant rally fall indicates a Morning Star it indicates the Bullish trend. Entry price when DOJI with High volume indicates trend reversal, Stop Loss when DOJI followed by a sideways movement, Evening Star is the revers of Morning Star and it indicates Bearish trend.

Price pattern is used to predict short term movement of the Stock by using Cup pattern, Flag Pattern, Triangle.
Dow Theory, is based on volumes, trades of minimum 02 years data and its a long term investment.

When two equal bottoms are formed and duration between the two bottoms are one month high volume at the second bottom our at the breakout point and trends to move in the upward direction this qualifies for bullish trend.

Flag Pattern: Is a steeper pole, rectangular shaped low volume is expected at the sideways movement can be considered as Flag, generally takes less time to form, this should last 3 to 7 days, Positive Pole Flag should give positive breakout, Volume is expected to increase while giving breakout.
