Provision or existence of more than one means or resources to perform an activity or function

Eg ; there  was a lot of redundancy in the man’s presentation and it made all of us bored in the audience

Employees are typically made redundant as a result of their employer needing to reduce its workforce or because the job they do is no longer required.

Redundancy is when organisation dismisses an employee because they no longer need anyone to do their job. This might be because the business is:

    • changing what it does
    • doing things in a different way, eg using new machinery
    • changing location or closing down

Redundancy is the state of not or no longer needed or useful.

    Statement Formation:

The redundancy of the 19th Century heavy Plant & Machinery is because of better inventions.
