A magnanimous person has a generous spirit. Letting your little sister have the last of the cookies, even though you hadn’t eaten since breakfast, would be considered amagnanimousact.
Magnanimous is that showing or suggesting a lofty (rising to a great height) and courageous spirit.
Eg: the team’s manager was magnanimous in victory, and praised the losing team.
