Stock Market is the place where the transfer or exchange of shares take place.
For example, if a person who owns some number of shares wants his money back for any reason, he cannot go to the company and ask for it. What he can do is he can sell it to someone who is willing to buy the shares. For this to take place, both the buyer and seller need a place and this place is Share Market.
