Stock market is a place to identify buyers and sellers of shares . A company raises its capital through a primary market by INITIAL PUBLIC OFFERINGS . Secondary markets are used to exchange shares between the potential buyers and sellers .
The terms face value , bonus, split and dividend are of no use to stock traders.
Shareholders are the owners of the company ;promoters are the persons who promote the business idea , directors lay the role of captain of the ship .
