Stock market is like any other market except that no products are traded, as shares and stocks of the company are traded here. when a new startup company is formed it goes public through IPO and so it is also called as primary market. the shares which are brought through IPO cannot be refunded from company and so the shares are sold in stock market and so it is called as secondary market. it is the place where buyers meet sellers and all the transactions are monitored and regulated by SEBI a government body.
