Flags are continuation patterns. A flag is formed when the price rallies sharply, then moves sideways followed by another sharp rise. The sharp rise preceding the flag is called the flag pole. Once the flag pole and flag has formed, watch for the price to breakout above the flag trendline and enter a long position. Place the stop loss below the low of the flag, not the flag pole.
