Stock trading is to buy or sell the stocks. Stock trading happens through electronic trading system in stock exchanges through brokers. Stock trading can be intraday trading, positional trading, Stock investments. If the stocks are bought and sold in a same day, it is called as intraday trading. If the stocks are hold for a certain period of time, it is called positional trading. When the stocks are hold for longer time period (for years), it is called as stock investment. When the stock is expected to go high, long position is taken. Long position is to buy the share for the first time. Long unwinding means the sell the bought long share. When stock traders expect the stock price to go down, traders sell the stock before they buy and it is called short position. The traders has to buy the shares before the market closes on the same day. It is called as short covering.
