In intraday long position trading, if there is sufficient fund to convert the intraday long position into delivery then there is no mandatory. If there is insufficient fund to convert into delivery then it is mandatory to close the intraday long position.
In intraday short position trading, it is mandatory to close the intraday short position on the same day.
