NSE introduced Futures and Options contract which were not there in BSE at their initial stage. This made NSE popular than BSE.

We need stock market to buy and sell the stocks. Retailers holding the stocks of low price cannot afford money to search and sell their shares. To enable the public to sell their shares at a common place, the stock markets are created.

Market is a place where buying and selling happens. Depending on the product, markets are named. Vegetable market, electronic market etc.
There are commodity market, Currency market, Spot market and Futures market.

IPO means Initial Public Offering. If a business require huge amount of capital it cannot be invested by a single or group of persons. so these huge amount can be collected from Public, in turn the profit from the company should be shared with the Public. The company go for public issue and it is the first time so it is called initial public offering.
