Intraday is based on the price movement which relies heavily on the overall sentiment. The positional analytical methods are for long term which evaluates the overall demand and supply, the volume and identified price patterns.

Intraday analysis is for short term analysis mostly within a day to gain on the price movement.
Positional analysis is for long term based on patterns and the historical data
