Yes global markets affect the intraday price movement since market is purely based on sentiment.
Because market of different countries work at different times which have impact on others.
For example,fall in YUAN(Chinese currency) has led to a fall in Indian markets upto 1750 points,and other markets significantly.

After a prior trend, if a Bullish/Bearish body covers the other body fully then it is called as Engulfing Pattern.
Conditions:
Trend should be formed after prior time.

Candle sticks analysis is the modified version of bars with colors denoting Bears with red body and Bulls with green body.It helps in easily identifying the trend.
