area gap – in favour of sellers
breakout – sellers lost their ground and buyers are strong
run away- the sellers are thrashed and no more in the fight they ran away at this stage shows a strong demand and buyers strength
exhaustion- the gap is lost in the same day. -

b) break out gap

it studies only the company and all other factors so the fundamentals are more informed than the technical ones this gives them more advantage in the market.
however it is very costly to study a company. let’s say if a person knows a company is not attractive then the time and money he spends on studying that is a not gonna come to him. -

the fundamental analyst get their data from the company because they have the power to access to those data which is not available to ordinary people like us.
the technical analyst get their data from the market they watch the trend. the graphs are their input. -

pros:
technical analysis is easier and cheaper compared to fundamental analysis.
cons:
it depends on others and the trends.

Dow theory can mot be used for intraday trading.
also it cannot be used for long term investment because it only watched the trend and does not forecast it. -

Dow theory is an ancient theory not much is told except the identification of demand and supply however we can say that one should not try to buy at the lowest point and sell at the highest point but watch them trend closely.

The average turnover is around 5.32 lakh cr. to manipulate the prices is actually possible in short term basis and not in long term basis. even a false statement by a stronger hand will create a false demand. there are also patterns like head and shoulders that are the possible out come of market manipulation.
