Nifty had a huge surge upwards today gaining 138 points (1.87 %) amidst strong global cues with all Asian markets closing at a high.
The top gainer being Yes Bank(11.53%) followed by Vedanta(6.69%). The top loser being bank of baroda (4.19%) followed by SBI(3.08%)
Sector wise the top gainer is Nifty Media(3.24%) and loser being PSU Bank(2.19%)
Asian markets as a whole climbed due to Bank of Japan’s announcement to adopt a negative interest rate policy. The Shanghai Composite and Hong Kong’s Hang Seng finished up 3.09% and 2.66% respectively. This has been a huge boost followed by a downward trend in the market in the recent weeks.
