every broker needs to give a caution deposit to the exchange to obtain the broker license. In case of any mistake done by the trader/broker during the trade, the exchange will recover their loss from the caution deposit paid by the broker

a long position is the one in which a trader first buys a share. selling the shares after buying them intially, is called as long unwinding.
when a trader first sells a share, its called as short trade. buying back the previously sold shares is called as short covering/buy back

If i quote a higher price than the prevailing market price, the quoted price acts as the limiting price and the market automatically trades the best available price in ascending order

positional trade refers to buying the shares of a company and holding them for a definite period before deciding to sell it. there is no restriction on the holding period
