We close the position on the same day because it is our decision to exit the market on the same day. There is no Mandate to exit the market on the same day. Global Market do impacts the intra-day price movements. This depends upon the behaviourĀ of Foreign Investors. Also during the morning sessions the price movements in influenced by Asian Markets (Like Japan and china) where as at close it is more influenced by European markets (Like London etc.)

A Gap may be understood as the increase in price overnight because of which there is no volume traded and there is a sudden rise in price. There is a GAP in the candle chart.
