Stock market is a place where stocks are traded. A company obtains money from public by IPO and the public get stocks. In this way a company can expanditself. Now the stocks can be traded between people themselves and this is called stock market. Based on demand and supply stock prices become high or low. This is conducted in Stock exchange which is regulated by SEBI. Sometimes the company gives dividend to the shareholders.
