stock market is the place where trading of shares takes place and it depends on demand and supply. when the company need capital, it approach public for money thro’ IPO . This is done by regulated body called SEBI. when the share holder wants his share back, the company instead of refunding , they allow to sell or exchange share to others at increased or decreased rate. The rate depends on supply and demand ratio.
