Share holder has no right to either ask for refund or ask for dividends.If he want refund he can sell the shares via share market.
In case of dividends,there is a chance that he can ask along with other shareholders in AGM’S.
Share holder does not have the right to ask for refund or dividend. If the shareholder needs refund he/she can sell the shares in the market and thereby get the money spent on buying the shares back.
As far as dividend is considered though a share holder is an owner of the company it solely depends on the company (people who run/maintain the business) to give dividend to the shareholder or not.
Shareholder to ask for dividend was previously unclear but now in recent judicial practice of the Supreme court, shareholders have been found not to have such right, though they are considered as the owner of the company. It is the company who decides give or not to give on its sole decisions.

The share holders are the owners of the company. However the shareholders don’t have any rights to ask the company to share the profits in the name of ‘Dividends’. Once the share has been sold by the company in the Primary Market, the share holder cannot request for refund. The bought share has to be traded in the stock exchange to get his/her investment back.
A share holder can never ask for a refund to the company. If he/she doesn’t need the shares he can sell it in the secondary markets line NSE.
A share holder have got no rights to ask for a dividend . Dividends are paid by the company in their own interest of sharing their profits to the share holders.
