An order can be placed online in the stock market using the software portal provided by the broker using DEMAT account. There are two types of orders – Buy order and Sell order. The validity of the order is until a deal happens

All the orders has to placed only through a broker in stock exchange. There are only two types of orders namely buy order and sell order. If the order meets matching price, it gets executed as trade. Any unexecuted orders will remain in the terminal till 3.30 PM which is normal closing time of stock exchange. Any that it gets cancelled automatically.

There are two types of order limit order and market order. Market order will be executed in the current market price. Limit order will be executed only if your price reaches the current market price.
