It is not mandatory to close the intraday position, but is always better to minimize the risk of uncertainty because the next day is different it might be anything high or low, so it is better to close on the same day.
Intraday should be close in the same day, because to reduce the risk of price uncertainty.
Not necessary for Long position.
For short position since we had sold the shares which we have not owned it is mandatory to deliver the shares by end of day. Else penalty of 20% will be levied.
We need to close the intraday position because the stock is a momentum stock. The price will fluctuate the next day.
It is not mandatory, but advised.
