BSE has more than 1500 companies. NSE has more than 500 companies. since it is difficult to study about 1500 companies NSE has become popular.

Due to firstly nse introducing electronic platform and future and option nse is more popular than bse even bse is older than nse.transferency is due to electronic settlement. also starting in currency future .due to above factors nse is more popular than bse.

NSE commenced futures and options trading in 2000, whereas BSE started it only in 2007.
