Have you ever looked at the success of your competitors and said to yourself, “What am I missing?” Companies small and large go through a strategic exercise called a gap analysis to answer that question, as well as any other questions that reflect a company’s aspirational goals. A traditional gap analysis looks at your company’s current state of affairs, compares it to where you want your company to be, and then proposes a plan to fill in the gaps.
