Stock market is a place where people can make money or lose money. Presently 5% only make money because they have knowledge and discipline. It is a speculative business wherein the risk is calculated and that one already has a trade plan for entry and exit. Hence it is different from Gambling wherein it is only for fun. Also, in a stock market we have an Exchange, a broker who is appointed by exchange, Depository participant DP, who are all independent and hence price discovery is very transparent.
