Stock market is the place to exchange the shares/stocks between buyers and sellers. It is the market place to connect the companies, investors, traders etc. There are two stock exchanges in India which are BSE & NSE. Before coming to stock exchanges, the company should approach SEBI and get approval to sell the shares to public which is called Initial public offer and it also called primary market. After IPO, the company will be listed in secondary market where in stock exchanges. Stock exchanges have a indices called Nifty and Sensex which will tell you the market trend based on the top 50 companies of NSE and top 30 companies of BSE.
