Stock market is a place where buyers and sellers meet in order to trade shares of a company. It is required so that it can raise capital for the company. Face Value, Dividend, Bonus and Split has no relevance to traders and need not be taken into consideration while trading. SENSEX and NIFTY are the indices of the BSE and NSE respectively which takes the averages of top 30 and top 50 companies respectively. A share holder cannot ask for a dividend to the company or ask for a refund but can sell the shares in the market.
