Basics of Stock Market

A stock or share is an instrument by which companies raise huge capital for further expansion by splitting the capital into smaller units called shares with equal face value. These shares can be bought by anyone from the primary market and become a part owner of the company. After the shares are bought the share holder cannot give the share back to the company and ask for refund. But they can be sold to other people who are interested in buying the shares. Here the need for a secondary market arises where the buyers and sellers of stock or share can come together and reach an agreement. This secondary market is known as Stock Market or Share Market.
