Closing Bell: The NSE NIFTY 50 Index rose 0.40 percent to settle at 11738.50 on Tuesday. Indian Equity benchmark NIFTY extended record-breaking run for the second straight day led by gains in energy and financial stocks and positive sentiment in global markets after the U.S.-Mexico agreement to overhaul their trade deal.

Among sector gauges compile by NSE NIFTY METAL, NIFTY FIN SERVICE, NIFTY AUTO and NIFTY IT indexes ended as top gainers while NIFTY PSU BANK, NIFTY REALTY and NIFTY PHARMA ended as top losers.

From the NIFTY50 basket of shares HINDALCO, RELIANCE, ADANIPORTS, VEDL and MARUTI ended as top gainers while GAIL, YESBANK, HINDPETRO, CIPLA and DRREDDY are top losers.
