Closing Bell: Nifty rise after two days as banking stocks drive gains
The benchmark index Nifty-50 closed 129 points higher at 11,483. key equity index Nifty snapped two-day losing streak in Tuesday’s session amid strong foreign inflows and surge in banking stocks. In the sectoral space, Nifty PSU Bank was the biggest gainer, surging 3.13 per cent followed by Banking, Financial and Metal sector. Each of these indices logged gains of 3-1 percent respectively.

The Nifty rose 50 points to trade at 11,405 on Tuesday’s afternoon session, the benchmark index Nifty were trading higher led by gains in banking, metal and realty stocks were offset by selling pressure in IT and FMCG shares.
The Nifty PSU Bank index up nearly 2% on Tuesday amid heavy buying in stocks of Union Bank, Indian Bank, Canara Bank and State Bank of India.

Morning Update: Nifty trade in green tracking sharp recovery in Asian market
The benchmark index Nifty were trading 33 points higher at 11,388 on Tuesday, below its key level 11,400 mark. Market turned positive after declining for the two consecutive trading sessions, tracking sharp recovery in Asian market. On NSE, except for Nifty IT, all other sectoral indices moved higher led by advances in Realty, Media and PSU Bank sectors.
The market breadth remained in favour of bulls. About 1,087 shares advanced against 453 declining shares on the NSE.

On a net basis, foreign portfolio investors (FIIs) bought shares worth a net of Rs 1436.16 crore on Monday, and domestic institutional investors (DIIs) were net sellers to the tune of Rs 12.52 crore.
