Closing Bell: Nifty ends volatile session lower due to geopolitical tensions
Indian benchmark index Nifty cracked 44 points to settle at 10,835 on Tuesday. Domestic equity key index Nifty snapped their four days winning streak after Indian Air Force conducted air strikes against a terror camp in Pakistan territory. On NSE sub-indices, heavy selling pressure was observed in Banking and Finance sectors dragged the index lower while losses were capped by gains in media sectors.
Asian markets finished lower today as investors remained cautions of the outcome of trade discussions between Washington and Beijing.
