Closing Bell: NIFTY belatedly cheered Modi’s win

The broader Nifty50 surged 187 points to end the day at 11,844 level. Indian equity index Nifty ended more than 1.5 percent higher as buying frenzy led to sharp gains in financial, banking, reality and metal stocks amid National Democratic Alliance (NDA’s) retained power with an absolute majority in the lok sabha elections. All the sectoral indices ended in the green led by Nifty PSU Bank (up 5.59%), while Nifty Realty also rose 4.4 per cent.

During the week, the broader Nifty gained 437 pionts.

Asian stocks ended mixed on Friday as investors globally remained cautions over ongoing trade tariff between US and China.

Market Update: Nifty continues to trade higher

 The NSE Nifty continues to trade higher during the afternoon trading session gaining over 1 per cent led by banking and realty stocks. Among sectors financials were leading the Nifty sectoral indices with PSU Bank index gaining 4.29 per cent, followed by Nifty auto and Nifty realty index, up above 2.4-3.5 per cent each respectively.

Morning Update: Nifty soar day after PM Narendra Modi-led NDA’s thumping win in the Lok Sabha elections 2019

The wider 50-scrip Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) traded 23 points higher at 11,680 points. Indian benchmark index nifty were trading higher in Friday’s morning session after Modi’s massive victory in general elections 2019.

On the sectoral front, expect Media, FMCG and IT, all other indices are trading on the green. Most gaining indices in the morning was PSU Bank at 1.48 per cent gain, followed by Realty sector, at a gain of 1.49 per cent and Nifty Bank, at 0.66 per cent hike.
