Closing Bell: The NSE NIFTY 50 Index fell 0.22 percent to settle at 11557.10 on Friday. Indian Equity benchmark NIFTY closed lower snaping their four-day winning streak dragged by banking heavyweights on last trading session of the week.

Nine out of 11 sector gauges compile by NSE NIFTY PVT BANK, NIFTY PSU BANK, NIFTY BANK, NIFTY FMCG and NIFTY AUTOended as top losers. On the flipside, NIFTY METAL and NIFTY MEDIA ended as top gainers.

From the NIFTY50 basket of shares YESBANK, TITAN, ADANIPORTS, HEROMOTOCO and ICICIBANK ended as top losers while VEDL, ONGC, GRASIM, AXISBANK and ZEEL are top gainers.
