RELINFRA volume spiked by 50 percent on Monday. However largely the volumes are settled intraday. It gives an impression of bearish breakout. It is trading below its recent support zone. The Near term resistance is seen around 142.
Closing Bell: Nifty falls over 1% as oil prices surge
Indian benchmark index Nifty cracked 158 points to settle at 11,594 on Monday, below its key level 11,600. Domestic equity key index Nifty traded with a negative bias throughout the day amid weak global cues, weakening rupee and surging crude oil prices. From the Nifty 50 basket of shares 40 closed lower which 10 shares ended higher. On the NSE index, except for Nifty IT, all other sub-indices finished in red, sliding as much as 2.48 per cent.

Market Update: Nifty trading with negative bias; IT stocks outperform
Market continue to trade with negative bias in the afternoon trade with the Nifty50 was trading way below 11,700 levels, down 109 points to 11,642. About 448 shares have advanced, 1,324 shares declined, and 113 shares are unchanged on NSE. On the sectoral front, except IT, all of the other sectoral indices are trading in the red.
Nifty IT index is buzzing in trade with major heavyweights like TCS, Infy, Wipro & Tech Mahindra outperforming.
Morning Update: Nifty falls over 100 points in morning trade
The 50-share NSE Nifty fell 103 points to 11,653. The NSE benchmark Nifty on Monday fell over 100 points tracking selloff in realty, banking, and auto stocks amid mixed cues from global markets. On NSE, except for Nifty IT, all other sub-indices were trading in red with Nifty realty leading the pack, down 1.96 percent.
The market breadth was tilted in favour of sellers. About 1135 stocks declined and 366 shares rose on National Stock Exchange.
The Indian rupee were trading lower by 46 paise at 69.82 per dollar versus 69.36 Thursday.
On Friday, the market was shut on account of Good Friday.
