Closing Bell: The NSE NIFTY 50 Index fell 1.24 percent to settle at 10453.05 on Wednesday. Indian Equity benchmark NIFTY plunged nearly 200 points from day’s high dragged by financial stocks on Bank Nifty expiry day. The markets will remain shut tomorrow on account of “Dasera”, , while resuming on Friday investors will look on to the stable Indian market and impressive global cues to post second consecutive weekly gain.

Among sector gauges compile by NSE NIFTY PSU BANK, NIFTY AUTO, NIFTY REALTY, NIFTY MEDIA and NIFTY METAL ended as top losers while NIFTY FMCG and NIFTY IT are top gainers.
