Closing Bell: The NSE NIFTY 50 Index rose 0.62 percent to settle at 10682.20 on Friday. Indian Equity benchmark Nifty was trading range-bound throughout the day but managed to end higher for second day in a row in the last trading session of the week. On the Weekly basis, Nifty rose 0.9 percent and posted gains for the third straight week as fall in crude prices, sustained Foreign Funds inflows and recovery in rupee weighted on investors sentiment. As Earnings season nearing an end, now investors are looking for major triggers for a pivotal move above 10,700 level.

Nine out of 11 sector gauges compiled by NSE ended higher led by NIFTY PSU BANK, NIFTY PHARMA, NIFTY IT and NIFTY FIN SERVICE as top gainers. On the flipside, NIFTY METAL and NIFTY METAL are only losers losers.

From the NIFTY50 basket of shares BHARTIARTL, EICHERMOT, HCLTECH, BAJFINANCE and RELIANCE ended as top gainers while YESBANK, IBULHSGFIN, JSWSTEEL, HINDPETRO and HINDPETRO are top losers.
