Closing Bell: Nifty Rebounds From 2-Day Losing Streak as IT & Metal Stocks Firm Up
The broader NSE Nifty rose 67 points to 11,665 on Friday. Key equity index Nifty bounced back after sliding in past two trading sessions, led by gains in metal, realty and IT stocks amid positive cues from the global markets on optimism over the US-China trade talks.
For the week, the NSE Nifty gained 0.36 percent and settled above 11,650 mark.
Asian markets finished mixed as of the most recent closing prices, as investors continued to monitor trade talks between the US and China.

Market Update: Nifty holds 11,600 mark led by banking & IT stocks
The broader index Nifty was quoting at 11,626 higher by 28 points. The NSE Nifty holds the 11,600 level in the afternoon trade session, driven by heavy buying in banking, IT and metal stocks.
Nifty’s IT index gained nearly 1 percent with shares of Infosys Ltd and Wipro Ltd, which were up about 1.5 percent, leading the gains.
Morning Update: Nifty Rise Ahead Of U.S.-China Trade Talks
The benchmark index Nifty were trading 52 points higher at 11,652 on Friday, above its key level 11,600 mark. Domestic equity index Nifty turned positive after declining for the two consecutive trading sessions. Meanwhile, Asian markets were mostly higher today on hopes of a US-China trade deal. On NSE, except for Nifty FMCG, all other sectoral indices moved higher led by advances in Realty, IT, Banking and Pharma sectors.
The market breadth remained in favour of bulls. About 1,076 shares advanced against 414 declining shares on the NSE.
